Thriving Women Leaders: Executive Coaching Forum for Women Leaders in Higher Ed
As a certified executive coach, I have been trained in the stakeholder centered approach for impactful leadership. How are you showing up in your organization? How do others perceive you? Are you willing to get vulnerable, embrace humility, and address your blind spots to honor a growth mindset?
It’s essential to bring others into your leadership journey to provide candid and supportive developmental feedback. Building your community of support also builds a network of influential leaders that can champion you and help you move forward, especially for senior-level women leaders in demanding roles.
Investing in Higher Education Women Leaders
The higher education arena is changing quickly, and the disruption is challenging as we experience the Admissions Cliff (smaller population of college bound students), the desired educational outcomes from students/parents, and the realities of student loan debt. This will have a profound impact on the professionals and academics working at institutions nationally.
The data shows that the pipeline of talented women poised for leadership opportunities in higher ed is robust, but many factors are causing women to take a step back, including childcare, aging parents, and family challenges that fall to women. The wage gap between men and women is still wide and at the current rate, we won’t see parity until 2059. It’s tough out there and women leaders face an uphill struggle on many fronts.
It’s time to invest in women leaders and honor their unique needs, so they can thrive in leadership roles and not sacrifice their personal lives along the way.
In this spirit of creating solutions, I am delighted to announce a virtual executive group coaching forum for senior-level women leaders in higher education. I have partnered with Kim Van Lue, MBA, ACC a fellow certified executive coach with deep experience in higher education to design and facilitate Thriving Women Leaders – a virtual executive coaching community for senior-level women leaders in higher education.
