Hi Caroline- This post is fun!

The hardest thing for me to remember is packing the extra pair of contact lenses. Crucial.

Last year I flew to Anchorage twice to work on a consulting job with Anchorage Parks and Recreation. We were there once in January and again in March. Brr. On the second trip, my colleagues and I were trapped in Alaska for a week because of a volcano erupting 100 miles away. One morning we got up, saw that our flight had been cancelled (again), so we drove down to Seward for the day. While we were in Seward, an avalanche occurred and blocked the Seward highway. Trapped again!
The whole experience was a good exercise in patience and finding creative ways to work remotely.

This is a great Post! As someone who travels over 100,000 miles a year all these tips are critical. I especially recommend Chico’s Traveler’s line. These clothes come in black and browns and maybe some greens but can be wadded up in a suitcase and out they come fresh! I also carry my eye prescription in case my glasses get broken or lost while on the road.
